Porous pavement solutions have drawn considerable interest in communities for the green engineering benefits they provide. Grass and gravel porous pavers can greatly reduce stormwater runoff by enabling a high infiltration or percolation rate of water into underlying soils. The permeability of these systems can also trap suspended solids, thus filtering them out of any residual runoff so water that is shed is cleaner.

On 20 February 2019, Presto Geosystems will offer a free and concise webcast presentation on porous pavers for more efficient stormwater infrastructures. Design engineer Sam Justice will lead the discussion.

Date: 20 February 2019
Time: 11:00 – 11:30 am CST
Cost: Free

The objectives of Presto’s 30-minute webcast:

  • Understand how rigid porous pavers promote fast infiltration at the source and are capable of detaining stormwater runoff on site
  • Understand the benefits of rigid porous pavers
  • Learn how the rigid porous pavers perform under varying infill materials and traffic-loading conditions
  • Learn how to apply vegetated and aggregate rigid porous pavers for a variety of project condition

The company has established a solid reputation in the field with its GEOBLOCK grass pavers and GEOPAVE gravel pavers. These systems scale well to sites, enabling low-cost, easy-to-install porous surface engineering for event small sites and for occasional to everyday use.

Presto has also supported these product lines with LEED® expertise and a porous pavement design assistant tool.
