World Bioenergy 2012

An update from Elmia AB, organizer of World Bioenergy 2012:

We are pleased to announce that the opening session at World Bioenergy 2012 will be attended by two energy ministers: Dr Farooq Abdullah from India, who is the union minister of new and renewable energy, and Anna-Karin Hatt, Sweden’s minister of energy.

Both India and Sweden have ambitious programs and plans to promote renewable energy. Both countries have large biomass resources, India mainly within the agricultural sector, and Sweden in forestry. In both countries, bioenergy already accounts for a large share of the total energy use. The two ministers will address the opening session of World Bioenergy 2012 in Jönköping on 29 May.
