Geosynthetics magazine editor Ron Bygness has passed along a shot from his recent visit to Korea, where he visited companies, testing laboratories, and university classes. He promises a more detailed outline of the trip will be published in the next issue of Geosynthetics.
Ron reports that the issue will also include a focus on Ireland, with features about geosynthetic materials in road construction through a bog by Wyatt Orsmond from RPS Engineers, Dublin; and one about the regeneration of the Cuilcagh Mountain blanket bog using geosynthetics. Also, Boyd Ramsey and Jimmy Youngblood contribute a piece on new technology with textured geomembranes. Finally, Jody Dendurent and Mark Woodward wrap up their 2-part series on geotextiles in levees.
