The Rooney Landfill in Jefferson County, Colordao has been closed for many years, but improvements were needed ahead of site reuse plans. A geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) capping system was installed and above that artificial turf soccer fields were constructed. The $2.9 million project is detailed in the current Rocky Mountain Construction.
